11Freunde recently commissioned me for an article leading up to the World Cup 2014 in Brazil. I had the chance to meet the Ghanian Football coach, James Kwesi Appiah, in his home town of Kumasi.

I was working with the renowned German sports writer Christoph Biermann and as we got into the taxi after meeting James we both agreed with everything that we had heard about him, that he is indeed a very lovely guy.

I hope James Kwesi Appiah does come away from the Brazil World Cup with exactly what he believes…that coveted golden trophy.
